Our Staff & Qualifications

TLC Director has 40 years of experience in the child care field and has dedicated her life to providing excellent care to the children at our centers. All staff hired will be qualified by DHS guidelines for their position. All Staff are certified in CPR & First Aid, Also Trained in Child Abuse Prevention, Blood Borne Pathogens, Risk Reduction, Emergency Preparedness, AHT, SUIDS & much more. Thorough background checks conducted & teacher/child ratios will always meet or exceed State requirements. All staff are mandated to receive additional in-service / training throughout each year (approximately 25 hours a year). This will include classes such as Child Assessments, Diversity, Passenger Safety, Food & Nutrition, Curriculum Planning, Child development & Civil Rights.

TLC is fully insured according to the Department of Human Service Standards and the Director has been providing high quality childcare in Minnesota for over 40 years. This Center is in the process of receiving a 4 Star rating through Parent Aware & the Director is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Our program will meet or exceed the researched based “best practices” to provide the highest quality of care and standards in the industry.

Meet Our Team

Nicole F. Elvidge

I am the Owner & Director here at TLC and also own Learn & Grow Child Care Center South in Blaine Minnesota. I have over 40 years of experience in the child care field. I have dedicated my life to provide quality care in our programs where children can be safe, happy, learn & grow as we prepare them for kindergarten. I have grown children of my own & have been married to my husband & best friend James, for 38 years. I Love children & I love what I do.

Raechel N. Drew

I am the Assistant Director & Lead Teacher here at TLC. I'm passionate about my work and I know how to get the job done. I would describe myself as an open and honest person. I love working with children and having fun with them. I have 3 children of my own, they are in middle school and high school. Through my working career, I have been hired by my boss at 3 of her child care center locations, as I have moved a couple times in my life, & she has always wanted me back.

Robin L. Allen

I am an Experienced Aide at TLC and very excite to be part of the TLC team. I have worked in child care for many years now

& I love working with children, watching them learn and grow.

I have 3 children of my own, 2 of them grown and out of the house, & my youngest son is 15. I also have 2 granddaughters.

Cassandra L. Ashton

I am a new Teacher's Aide at TLC and hoping to work here fulltime soon. My boss says I am a very valuable employee because I have not left my old job yet, as I gave notice weeks ago, but cannot leave them "high & dry" as they are short staffed, She also says that shows I'm reasonable & responsible. I am a dedicated, respectful & hard-working person. I love working with the children & I am kind. I have many different interests & outdoor hobbies and my friends & supervisors appreciate me.

Brandie R. Kirk

I am a new inspiring Teacher at TLC & I have been told I have already earned the respect & trust of the Director, her Assistant, & especially the children (as they respond very well to me) and I care so much about them. I will be working on my CDA. I love to play with the kiddos, make them happy & keep them safe. I have my own painting business and I am a hard worker. I am also a huge animal lover & enjoy spending time with both children and animals. I would describe myself as a team player, and want to make achievements through shared goals & positively impact the children I care for.

Jocelyn N. Moe

I am an aspiring Teacher her at TLC, as I am currently taking classes to get my CDA. I currently work fulltime as a forklift driver (for over 2 years) & part-time at the McGregor School districts after school program and am not afraid of hard work. I am kind, cheerful, outgoing & love children. I do not have children of my own yet but will love to be a mom eventually. I also hope to have a long rewarding career in the child care field.
